MEMORIES IN MUSIC

For many hours in the studio spent learning the skills of the trade, I thank producer writer performer David Foster; observing and watching him work with precision and purpose with the band Chicago, The Tubes, Richard Marx, Steve Lukather and others at the similar deafening volumes I unfortunately prefer as well was an experience and benefit second to none.

A MODERN TASTE OF TRADITIONAL HARD ROCK

Performing and recording now with the band ESQ we have combined a modern sound with traditional hard rock to create a unique listening experience available now world wide through distribution in the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa and beyond.

ROCKING OUT WITH THE GREATS

One of the exciting things about this industry is collaboration or simply just hanging out with talented and incredibly passionate souls. Donald Baldwin of the Temptations and Bill Champlin are two who I’ve been privileged to write with and record. Performing with Stewart Copeland renowned artist and drummer for the police is a favorite personal experience along with discussing classical music with legendary musician Chick Corea & relaxing at home with the tall and talented Stanley Clarke.

Among Good Friends and Musical Fellows

Of all my musical experiences, however, one of my most treasured has definitely got to be sitting with my guitarist, cohort, and buddy, Terry Gleason, along with another good friend, John Lee Hooker. Together, we’d visit John Lee in his Northern California home and watch his personal collection of rare Jimi Hendrix footage.

Talented Multimedia Writer

While delving into different genres, I eventually wrote a country music parody and won a songwriting award for it. Sometime later, I penned a new creation—this time, a literary fiction. The book recounts my shifts as a taxi driver in San Francisco who was juggling a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing. For this one, I was given the Benjamin Franklin Award as a new author.

A Novel by Larry Sager

No Guns, No Knives, No Personal Checks: The Tales of a San Francisco Cab Driver is a raw recollection of my time as a Californian cab driver after dark. Filled with an amusing assortment of colorful snippets and experiences lived as I worked my way through university. I’m ever-grateful and truly humbled for the warm praises from readers all over the country, and for the award given to me for my work.

About My Music

Today, I return to my true passion and roots: rock n’ roll music. This collection of songs includes Off My Rocker, which I originally penned sitting on my basement stairs when I was just 14 years old. I recorded a new, slightly modified version to reflect the current state of social pressures and monetary alternatives.
